Documenting genuine and heart felt moments between a baby and their new world is something I absolutely love. The fuzzy booties, knit sweaters, and scarf swaddle are immediate give aways that this newborn session was photographed earlier this year in the midst of winter. Baby Penelope’s session was extra special with the addition of her two siblings making an appearance throughout the day. Her brother and sister ensured there was no shortage of excitement, laughter and fun! Penelope was a natural in front of the camera, flashing her adorable smile countless times- take a look!
When my cousin delivered her precious baby boy this past December my first question was: “How are you feeling?” My second question followed soon after: “When am I coming over to take newborn photos?” Her answer being something along the lines of, "As soon as freaking possible!"
One short week later I found myself staring intently into the wide eyes of precious baby Jonathan. All that kept racing through my mind were thoughts of how fragile and perfect he was in every way, however I am almost positive he was looking back at me thinking to himself "Who the heck are you, and why in the world do you keep putting this camera in my face while I am trying to sleep?" Fair enough - haha.
I had such a wonderful time visiting little Jonathan, and absolutely loved being a part of his first ever professional photo shoot!
First a newborn session, and now a family session! I have had the opportunity to photograph the Cardillo family twice this past year, and it has been a true blessing to watch their family grow.
After an unfortunate week of rain and grim weather forecasts for the week ahead you can imagine how ecstatic we were to find that we had lucked out on a beautiful fall day. I had such a fun time capturing some updated family photographs for this kind and beautiful family (seriously, they could easily be Hudson's Bay Company models). I hope to be there for the next milestone as this family continues to write their story!
